Merin first dreamed of Kit while running from meeting to meeting in steamy DC summers while wearing ill-fitting, polyester clothes, and she spends her days ensuring that every part of the business reflects our philosophy of empowering women. With a background in nonprofit consulting, fashion, and the arts, she has spent her career in roles that allow her to work alongside smart, talented women growing organizations. All while wearing lots of a-line dresses that flatter her pear-shaped figure (along with the occasional pair of jorts). Merin and her husband Will live in Houston, where they enjoy hanging out in their cozy bungalow with their spoiled but charming rescue cats Franklin and Roosevelt.

Natalie loves working hard to ensure our customers get the most of being part of the Kit community. Typically spotted around town in simple, classic, and functional pieces, Natalie’s style has evolved to keep up with two small children and the balancing act of working and being a mom. With a diverse background, Natalie has deployed as an Army officer to Iraq, managed education programs for US Army Special Operations, and implemented change management for Sports Medicine at the US Olympic Committee. Through her many roles, she has played the problem solver, coming up with solutions and finding common ground for all involved. Natalie and her husband, Layne, spend their time exploring the great outdoors with their children, Hannah and Andrew, and their golden retriever Murphy.
